Inert growing medium Can be used on their own as a growing medium Can be used with other hydroponic mediums to create your own mix How Grodan Rockwool Mini Grow Cubes (Cellmax) Work: Rockwool is an inert starting medium made out of spun mineral wool. Rockwool mini cubes are good for use on their own as a hydroponic rooting medium or they can be added to other mediums such as clay pebbles to create your own mix. Rockwool provides a fibrous structure which holds a lot of water and air for plants to root into. The small cube size allows quick drainage and lots of space for air to provide oxygen for the roots. Using Grodan Rockwool Mini Grow Cubes (Cellmax) Grodan Rockwool Mini Grow Cubes on their own as a pot-growing medium. Grodan Rockwool Mini Grow Cubes can also be mixed with other substrates to provide greater water retention.
