NFT stands for (Nutrient Film Technique).A thin film of nutrient solution flows through the roots of the plants providing them with all of the elements they need.The only medium is used is the medium the plants started in.The nutrient is stored in the tank below the tray with the plants sit on and the nutrient is then pumped up from the tank to trickle over the roots of the plants, which are drained back into the tank ready to be passed over the plants roots again.A constant supply of water and nutrition to the roots combined with unlimted access to oxygen means growers experince up to 4x the yeilds of traditional soil growing.
